Rabat American School — Morocco's Top K-12 School

BILATERAL AGREEMENT
Rabat American School is a member school of the signed Moroccan-American Bilateral Agreement on American Schools in Morocco.
RAS is one of five official American schools in Morocco conforming to the signed Bilateral Agreement on February 22nd, 2013 between the Governments of the United States of America and the Kingdom of Morocco.
Rabat American School is a Moroccan non-profit association.
In accordance with the Royal Dahir dated November 15, 1958, as amended, relating to the regulation of Moroccan non-profit associations, and in accordance with the Royal Dahir n° 1.14.134 approving the above mentioned Law n° 75.13, an association is created to provide education according to American norms in Morocco. The association shall be called: Rabat American School Association.
U.S. Department of State Recognition
Rabat American School is officially recognized by the U.S. Department of State as an American-style overseas school. Through the Department's Office of Overseas Schools, Rabat American School receives both direct and indirect assistance designed to support institutions that promote an American educational model outside the United States.
This recognition reflects Rabat American School's commitment to maintaining a high standard of education for U.S. citizens living in Morocco, ensuring that children of U.S. citizens residing in Rabat have reliable access to an American curriculum and learning environment.
By meeting the standards set out by the U.S. Department of State, Rabat American School is able to offer families in Rabat and across Morocco a school experience rooted in American educational values, while remaining connected to the broader network of U.S.-assisted schools worldwide.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)
Rabat American School has been authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) since June 1992, making it one of the longest-standing IB World Schools in Morocco. This authorization reflects Rabat American School's long-term commitment to delivering a rigorous, internationally recognized curriculum to students in grades 11 and 12.
As an authorized IB World School, Rabat American School offers the IBDP diploma to students in their final two years of secondary education, preparing them for university-level study through a challenging, globally respected academic framework. The programme is known for developing critical thinking, research skills, and a broad, balanced approach to learning across subjects.
